Siraf Ancient Site

The ancient site of Siraf is located near the village of Taheri in Bushehr Province and includes the remains of the market, the Grand Mosque, residential neighborhoods, and the historic cemetery of this port. Extensive archaeological excavations at this site began in the middle decades of the 20th century and have formed an important part of our current understanding of this historic port.
